Special attention to the surfaces of the car interior
As drivers and in order to ensure ours and other passengers' safety in the current situation of COVID-19, we strive to maintain the maximum level of hygiene of the cars that we use.
Especially in connection with this situation, we may again remind the correct methods of cleaning and disinfection of the car interior based on the specifics of the surfaces in the car. The vehicle interior includes various materials such as leather, metal, plastic and other artificial materials, for the cleaning of which it is recommended to use certain means in order to preserve their life for a long time and to avoid damages of the surfaces. In terms of costs, this issue is important because insurers do not cover such type of damage - they are considered as an external mechanical impact.
In order to preserve the surfaces when cleaning the interior, we advise you to take into consideration the following recommendations:
- Always clean the car surfaces with a microfiber cleaning cloth that does not scratch the surfaces
- Use cleaning products that are certified and contain one or more of the following ingredients Quaternary Ammonium, Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate, Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrogen Peroxide, Isopropanol, Octanoic Acid, Peroxyacetic Acid
- Wet wipes, disinfectants and other hand cleaners are not suitable for these purposes in the long run
Our advice is - always before using a particular product, make sure that there are no recommendations to avoid its application on certain surfaces.
